“Johnny Cashflow” from best before 05-31

When I released my EP best before 05-31, I wanted to produce a music video to accompany the opening song “Johnny Cashflow”. You can view it up there or on my YouTube channel.

The song came to be as a kind of response to a certain rich person with a massive inferiority complex buying and ruining a certain social media platform (nudge nudge, wink wink).

For the video, I filmed my mouth singing the lyrics and superimposed that onto stock footage of influencers and other opinion makers. In the end, I somewhat tried to emulate the feeling of “They Live!”, where all the billboards and broadcasts of attractive people turn out to manipulate people subconsciously.

The music video was filmed, edited and post-produced by myself.
